Our Team

The team at Grand Corner Dental is focused on providing the best dental care while making your visit as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We enjoy the relationships that have been built over the years with many of our long term patients, and believe each patient need is special, and for this reason we will evaluate and customize treatment plans. Stanley A. Sargent, DDS, FAGD

Dr. Sargent earned his DDS from Northwestern University Dental School in Illinois (1978), and has further extensive education in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions, disorders and diseases affecting the teeth and gums. He moved to Spokane to setup his solo practice in general dentistry, which he operates to this day. Dr. Sargent was one of the first General Dentists in the US to be certified for Invisalign orthodontic braces (Align Technology, Inc.), and one of the first in Spokane to be certified to restore implants, of which he remains active in research. In 2006 he became certified to administer BOTOX for both migraines and wrinkles, and lip augmentation fillers (Juviderm, Restalyne) by the original researcher, Dr. Howard Katz. In 2007, he became certified to place dental implants, and was the first Gold Partner level general dentist in Eastern Washington with Noble Biocare LLC, the original and largest manufacturer of dental implants. He has been awarded a topDentists award for Family Dentistry three years in a row (2009, 2010 and 2011), nominated by his peers.

At present, he serves on the surgical staff at Deaconess Medical Center and Sacred Heart Medical Center, providing consult to cardiologists, and in consultation, examination and pre-surgical oral rehabilitation of patients prior to kidney transplants. He is also on the team for the Inland Northwest Thoracic Organ Transplant Program (heart transplants) at SHMC.

Dr. Sargent has been married to his wife Margo for 33 years, and they have two daughters. He enjoys tennis, fly-fishing, traveling, skiing and golf.

Joshua R. Cochran, DMD

Dr. Cochran attained his degree of a Dentariae Medicinae Doctorae from A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. His dental experience includes five externships across Washington and Idaho, work in both private pratice offices and public health clinics, and frequent continuing eduation on state-of-the-art dental treatment including cosmetic dentistry, implants, endodontics and dental surgery. Outside of Grand Corner Dental, Dr. Cochran is on faculty at Eastern Washington University and a member of the Spokane Study Club & Spokane District Dental Society.

Dr. Cochran grew up near Manito Park on the South Hill of Spokane. He attended Jefferson Elementary, Shaw Middle School, Lewis & Clark High School, Aarhus Kobmandskolen (Aarhus, Denmark), University of Washington and earned a Bachelor of the Arts in Business Administration Honors with a Finance Concentration.

Fitness and whole body health is important to Dr. Cochran and he stays in shape through basketball, running and lifting. He is a fan of Gonzaga Bulldog basketball, Apple Computers, BBQs, Netflix, deciduous trees, architecture and the Detroit Lions. For enjoyment, Dr. Cochran's summer hangouts are the local lakes and rivers of the Inland Northwest. He also competes in Hoopfest each summer. In the winter you can spot him skiing down some of the local slopes, or find him on ESPN playing fantasy football.
